  7.  Usage
  8.  -----
  9.  Just install the datatype files to their appropriate directories,
  10.  and copy the akJFIFPrefs command to SYS:Prefs (optionally).

  12.  Please make sure, that there is a directory available, where temporary
  13.  data can be stored. There must be an assignment called "VMEM:" to
  14.  this directory.

  16.  The assignment originally would have been "JPEGTMP:" for the JFIF
  17.  sources, but the memory manager has been strongly modified and
  18.  enhanced - on a system with many RAM available you will perhaps
  19.  never actually encounter usage of that directory.

  21.  Do not assign it to "T:" - just create a safe place for it.

  24.  Program information

  26.  akJFIF.datatype is a new JPEG datatype, which is based on the
  27.  latest IJG JFIF sources V6a.
  28.  
  29.  So it does support progressive JPEG and all the other things
  30.  introduced with V6a (note: it reads progressive JPEG, but DataTypes
  31.  cannot display images progressively - instead only as a single chunk).

  33.  With V39-V42 picture.datatype it produces 256 color palette-based
  34.  (with either none, floyd-steinberg or ordered dithering) or HAM6/8
  35.  output, with Ralph Schmidt's picture.datatype V43 as well optionally
  36.  24 Bit output may be done.

  38.  You must use the included preferences program for best configuration.
